I offer online and face to face sessions, as well as telephone should you prefer this
mode of therapy.
The initial session lasts for the duration of 30 minutes, and this is free of charge as a chance for us to establish whether we can mutually work together. This allows you the chance to decide whether I am the right person to have therapy with and for myself, if I feel that perhaps you would benefit from someone who specialises more in the issues you would like to focus on.
After this initial session we can have a chat about how many sessions you would
like, perhaps you would prefer to not have a fixed number of sessions and rather opt for open-ended sessions. These sessions will last for a duration of 50 minutes.
For children, face to face is most beneficial as its easier to connect through play
therapy and creative activities. However, should the young person be of and age and understanding where they would prefer online or telephone counselling, I would be happy to accommodate them. These sessions can be shorter, where the young person can opt for 30/45-minute sessions.
My Approach
With regards to what approach I use, it depends on the client and being trained
pluralistically I find it offers more flexibility in being able to use a range of different
approaches rather than one. If you know what you would like to focus on, I would be able to suggest a few approaches we could use and which you feel most comfortable me using. However, I pride myself in being accommodating and if you rather we only work in the here and now and not go back into the past (psychodynamic), we will focus on that.
